I'm curious of what people think are advantages and disadvantages of mini-sized 1/10 cars over standard sized 1/10 touring cars.
Note that i am referring to cars such as the Tamiya Mini Coopers or HPI Minis - NOT 1/18 Micros.
This is directed towards everyone, not just owners of Mini-sized vehicles. Responses based on experience or perception are okay. Some of the issues i am wondering about...
Do you feel that Mini cars have adequate handling and performance?
Do you feel that Minis are marketed too much as entry level kits?
Do you feel that Minis are too 'cutesy' or 'sissy'?
Do you feel that Minis are not too expandable?
Do you feel that Minis are not as common as they could be?
Do you feel that the aftermarket support for Minis is adequate?
These are just some sample issues. The reason i ask is because i have a Tamiya Mini Cooper Racing that i run with the guys i bash with. They all seem to love it, including all of its quirks, but nobody actually has one. There seems to be an aversion towards the kit and i'm just asking around to figure out just what that is, really.
Thanks in advance,
wb
