My motor seemed to work great now its broken..the brushes were clicking and the comm seems out of round.I did put a drop or two of 3in one oil on the comm and the pinion end when it ws running good.. Can "lubeing" the motor ruin it? Do I even need to lube the new one?? is there lubricant in the motor spray-cleaner solutions?? Tnaks Steve!!

There is no need to use RC Brands of motor lubes, most are just standard motor oils and lubes. 3 in 1, Marvel Mystery Oil, Sewing or Clipper oil, light weight motor oil work if use sparingly; 1 or 2 drops to each bushing/bearing. Never apply oil to comm or brush surface. Motor cleaners do not provide lubricating properties, it removes the oil and dirt. That is why it's essential to reoil the motor after cleaning it.
Remove the spring and brushes, spray motor with cleaner. Use a rag, q tip or comm stick to clean the brush face. Re-install brushes, springs reoil motor bushing/bearing.

Well since your comm has rounded out, you will need to get it "cut" and it will give like new performance, also replace your brushes.

Ok.. I bought a new trinity 12 turn motor and need to break in the brushes.. I put a drop of oil on each brush.. ran it for a few minutes at around 4 volts.. The brushes looked like they were comming around. I spryued the thing out, re-oiled the brushes and ran the motor for anothe 4 minutes..The brushes now look like they conform to the comm.. GOOD. What is this comm stick thing? is lt like a pencil eraser? Thanks!!
Like was said above DON'T put oil on the brushes! you now need to remove the brushes spray the motor out with motor cleaner replace the brushes with new ones reoil the BEARINGS not the brushes,to seat the brushes run the motor with a 4 cell battery pack for about 3-4 mins, again NO OIL ON THE BRUSHES!

A comm stick is just a little thing to take crap off of your comm and brushes to prolong performance, but using it won't keep your motor running good forever.
