Blew my shock caps off my 2.5 now what?

Took my 2.5 out today in the woods for a little off roading on some dirt bike trails. It really suprised me at how well it did. Especially when climbing. It scaled a 12 foot near vertical hill. On with the story I let my buddy drive it for like 10 seconds and he hit a 3 foot or so jump and stayed on the thottle the maxx landed on it's back and in the process blew both shock caps off the right rear. I tried rebuilding them but the first jump and they were back off again. So what should I do? What shocks should I buy? What oil? What springs? I was thinking big bore, raven springs and 50 wt oil. Thoughts or comments?

BTW the AE kit is out because it still uses plastic caps and that's my whole problem

I have the new Maxx and I had heard about the caps blowing off at the Traxxas forum so I made sure they were properly filled with oil and then used 5-minute epoxy for a more permanent fix. I saw that you posted at the Traxxas forum also, some guys get the aluminum caps, some super glue them. Don't get the Ofna shocks, they're good but you can get a set (8shocks) of Traxxas aluminum Big Bores at www.stormerhobbies.com for $63 (retail is $99) and they come with the weak red springs but you can get some Raven dual rates for $18 for 8 or the Trinity blues for about the same price. I plan to keep the stock shocks until they completely die and then I will get the Big Bores.

Welcome to the world of the Maxx. Mine blew out the first lap at the local track. After looking at the options out there, I went with the Losi shock set. I liked the reverse barrel design (the caps are actually on the botton of the shock body, taking the burden off of the cap, and putting it into a milled aluminum shock body). I just finished installing them, so not sure how the design will actually work, but almost everything I have bought from Losi has been exceptional.
