Off Topic Forum?

would there be any way we could get an off topic forum going in the airplane section?Would there be enough interest?

Heya Dave
Well We could talk about alot of stuff.Like world events Id like to hear what the older people have to say about whats going on in the world as compared to when they were young.What about whats going on in the middle east (even tho thats been going on forever)
Im into cars also(real cars) what if some people here were also into cars.We'd never know cause there is no place to discuss this stuff.
We could plan out events or have event reminders on here.Like meets and fly ins.Like you n me Dave we live rather close and Im sure theirs other people that live close to each other we could plan these things out on this forum.
I know there is not a big group on this board to probably get this stuff started.But I have a fealing their might be one day.Im kinda feeling the need for their to be more more activity in our hobby for people to interact a lil more.I can find 10 different major car shows to go to each year.but I cannot find one person in my area that flies electric.(see Im getting off topic of my topic)
What Im getting at is this could be used in many different ways .
And we need more events and event reminders lol
I know I probably just confused everybody :D

Hi,
OK, I will chime in about an upcoming event. I have applied for a sanction to hold the next indoor national R/C contest at the enormous blimp hangar at Lakehurst NJ. There will be scale, aerobatics, racing, endurance, cargo, and probably more. The date I applied for is the third weekend in June, 2003. It will be next week before I can say it is cast in concrete, but be thinking about it.

Great Idea I will definitly be there,gives me enough time to get a rffs plane going,sounds fun and in Jersey ,close by too,I wish I had enough money to get an event going,maybe down in Norfolk,Or Virginia Beach Area,I know theirs plenty of clubs down there.But I dont have the money or time to organize such an event.
Sorry for Ramblin in the above post,I was under the influence of Ny-Quil at the time:o So dont declare me crazy yet...LOL
