Hi. I have a big one for you guys. Might have been asked before but...
Which Monster Truck to get??? There are some many out there. If you guys would give me your feedback of what you know from them and such would be great. I know one of the most popular one is the T-Maxx, but seems a little small?! I know it is good, but I want something big, good, not too expensive. I already have a RC10GT Plus to race, not really into racing for the Monter truck, mostly for bashing, hill climing, ruff terrains and such..
Thanks in advance. :D

hey man, to get faster results, just go to search, and type in "which monster truck" Which monster truck to get" stuff like that....
THEN, when you think youve narrowed it down to a few u like,
go to search and type in the name of that truck, youll find somthin on every truck im sure...
As for a few quick reccomendations,
The MP/Dominator from Ofna is great
The new Maxx 2.5 kicks
Mad force seems sweet...
But just check out the search, i believe there was a thread identical to this a few weeks back, and it had like 3 or 4 pages....
Peace,
Jordan

I am new to R/C. I purchased the Terra Crusher which has been nothing but problems. Also it is underpowered. I havent burned a tank without a problem. Hope that helps.

I would go with Tmaxx it has many upgrade parts and has a very good rep.(the old one anyway). I am sure they didnt go cheap on the new one. The savage looks great also but I should have waited for the tmaxx.:(

What do you own, which one did you get?
I see that the Terra Crusher has a starter, easy full access and such.. does the T-Maxx has the same easy fuelling thing? and Savage...? Thanks

I am also in the same position as you are. I would wait until the savage comes aout and then decide which on to get.

I have the TC. compare the .18 to the maxx's .25, ya. Maxx has push button starting and I think the savage has an easy starter as well. The fueling thing I dont know what you are talking about unless its the flip top cap and im sure they have that also. Right now i just spent 200 on crap for it and i will probably ditch it all for the .21 conversion, needs more power. I am at high altitude though and it is tough on power (8000 ft.).

The Maxx 2.5 doesn't stand for a .25, its false advertising! It stands for 2.5cc which basically is the cc of a .15 engine, as for the Savage it doesn't come with an electric start but a Pullstart.
I have a Dominator myself and its excellent, broke nothing, handles fantasticly well, incredibly durable too but i have seen a Savage in person and it was very impressive.... Not sure i'd take one over a Maxx 2.5 cause the 2.5 is a nice all round package, i'd probably go with the Savage though... It looked very very durable to me

Yeah. Is the TC really good or the T-Maxx better? I mean the easy fuelling, the TC has is on the top, in other words, you do not need to take off the body to fuel it. Still wondering which one to take. I know there will be more in the future and such. So I may go for the T-Maxx and in the future get another one! :D

Well, since you said cost wasnt an issue.. hehehe
Mad Force for a Nitro - Pretty much AWESOME right out of the box, I think the only hopup you really need is the steering *fix* which will cost you about $2
TXT-1 for an Electric. If you go this route, be prepared to spend tons of cash on upgrades before you even build it. But trust me, it'll be worth every penny. :D
The Maxx line of trucks are cool too, but not as fullfilling as the kits metioned above, as they only come RTR. :( :( (Unless you wnat to be insane like me and just buy every single part off of eBay and build an E-Maxx that way :D )

you can't go wrong with the t-maxx pops wheeles and has as much power as a .21 engine. They redifined the monster truck and now they redifined the .15. Whats next traxxas?

Well, money is kinda of an issue, but want to know the Monster trucks here. I would like to built it, but what I did with my RC10GT plus. It ws built, I used it once and flipped it over in mud :( so, I took it fully appart and rebuilt it, works great still :P So. I might go for the T-Maxx for now.. and later buy another one or whatever.. But will still keep looking... wondering which one.. :D

Can anyone tell me about the DOM? Does the low ground clerance effect it's performance? I like it's durability and everything but I don't like the way the body is mounted high from the chassis and the fact that it's a "truggi"

I am facing the same problem but i think i will either go with the savage or the t maxx i am leaning toward the t maxx because they already heve tons of after market parts and have a good reputation. I was wondering does the new 2.5 t maxx use the same after market parts i pretty sure it does but i just am not sure. Also does any one know the web address to TCRC suspenson, the extra wide suspension arms because i want to get them when i get my truck if i get a t maxx.
Thanks
:p

the Dom is geared more towards racing, when it was redesigned (from the MP) i doubt they worried about ground clearance, if your lookin for a basher the t maxx is just the thing you
need...JMO
and the body can be lowered on the dom to make it look better on the trk, plus bodies for the tmaxx go right on it with ease if ya want a new one

The ground clearance is not a problem with the DOMINATOR!! I have one and I've never had a problem. If you want a tough truck get the DOMINATOR, I've hit a rock at full speed [ a big one at that] and all it did was leave a scratch on the front A-arm.I have a friend with a t- MAX and it's NO WAY as tough as the DOMINATOR!!!! Also you can allways lower the body and cut the excess body post it also makes it look alot better...

I will be running the DOM all year round if I get it and an occasional racing. I want to know if it can tackle the snow... It's either dom, savage, tc, or 2.5.
