You can replace them with the aluminum ones for a few bucks. You can also check yours before you run your truck: You should always go over RTRs and check for loose screws and proper construction. People build them, and people make mistakes.

The plastic shock caps blow off all the time. No biggie, refill them and put them back on, or get aluminum shock caps.
And on a side note, why in the world is your user name ihaterc89? This is an RC BB, so what's up with the name?

oh. Ask the mods to change it. Nirto, I mean Nitro Pede Man, bugged them for long enough, and they changed his name (mind you it was only one letter) but hey, it's worth a try.

The most popular solution for the shock caps, seems to be putting teflon tape on the threads before they pop off, I guess this has worked quite well for a lot of people.

every traxxas out there has this problem. I know mine certainly did. You dont nessesarily have to use nylon tape you can use plumbing tape from your local hardware store as well which i have tried. It is a quik fix but it is not permanent. If u do get a maxx set aside some money for new shox and other things.

My hpi nitro MT had that problem. The'res just too much stress on teh shock thread. Just get aluminum shocks and you'll be fine.

You guys need to remember it is a RACING engine so you need to set it richer (i think) and the a-arms are a waste they brake real easy right were they hook to the chassis or the bulk head.
here is my 2 cents
