Yes it is set right with the rich and lean stuff. But I want some more power and maybe some more top speed. My friend is going to get a T-maxx 2.5 and I want to at least have a chance. So What do I do? Get a better pipe? What kind?

BTW... I don't want to do anything with gear changing and stuff cuz I like the low end twork (SP?)

Thanks!

Erm you wont have much chance no matter what you do to it TBH, If you want to have a chance you'l need a 2.5 yourself

get a .21 conversion and a CVEC pipe.a rossi .21 is good but its really expensive

From what i've seen of the 2.5 Maxx though just a Sport (Hyper21, TTR .21, P4 Force 21) in a T-Maxx still wont do it, that 2.5 Motor is a screamer but if you go any more powerful than those engines your going to run into big money with transmissions and differentials stripping on you, even with those sport .21 engines your still going to strip your tranny and diffs.

You could gear it up, get a better pipe but it wont be near enough to keep up with the 2.5, Perhaps if you ported your TRX15 PRO you'd have a much reasonable chance

ok, i have the old maxx with the following...
robinson forward only conversion
18 tooth clutch bell
o.s cvr .15 motor
645 hi-tech servo
and many other things, but that is just a few, now, i race a few guys locally all the time on a track around here, and yes, the 2.5 is fast, and has alot of torque!!
BUT, with the right combo of things on your truck, and this is most important.....skillfull driving, you can win at a race!!!
in a drg race....yep, the 2.5 hands down is faster...but on a dirt track, im with em all the way...its a shoot out every time!!!
i have learned over time how my truck wants to handle, and i drive her brains out all the time!!
remember, you dont have to be the fastest to win a race....just drive smart, and have lots of torque coming out of the corners, and most of all...
have fun doing it!!
thats what this hobby is all about...HAVING FUN!!!!!!!

what you need is a race engine that can keep up with the new traxxas engine. Like an OS engine

you could try putting in sirio, or team orion wasp .12 and some good pipe, maybe CVEC, these engines have claimed output of 1,5-almost 2HP, and its rather impressive, but some gear change, not to strip it would be rather neccesary(SP)
