hello all :)

I just bought my tmaxx 2.5 yesturday and now i have a big problem.

I am new to rc so when it was time to break in the engine i followed the instructions to the letter.

After the 5th tank of fuel i was driving it around the parking lot and it needed gas, so i pinched the fuel line to kill the engine and refuel..

anyway when i put the ezstarter back in and tried to crank it, it started it and immediatly died. so i tried it agin and agin..

I checked the manual and the problem sounded like a flooded engine..

I unscrewed my glow plug and tipped the truck over and used the ezstart like the instructions said.. Fuel just poored out of the engine!!.

Oh no!.. so i followed the rest of the instructions. Now the ezstarter wont even start the electric motor to start my 2.5 engine. I replaced my glow plug and to no use it didnt help.

my LHS is closed till monday and i am hoping someone out there might know how to help.

Thank you - Tmaxxgreif

Make sure all the wires are connected (especially the blue one that attaches to the glow plug), and make sure that your ez-start battery is fully charged. Try it then, and if it still wont turn the engine over, remove the glow plug, crank the engine over (using the now-functional ez-start (if your batteries were dead, etc.)) let out all the excess fuel, then put the glow plug back in, attach all the wires, prime the engine, and then try to start it up. If it still doesn't work, wait until monday and then take it to your LHS for them to fix.

And as a side note, you don't have to stop the engine when you need to refuel, just add more fuel as you need it.

and a better way to shut off the engine is to plug the stinger on the pipe because its easier than pinching the fuel line and it is also a little faster

with that method you can get your engine flooded even easier, you can also put shoe over flywheel, or cover air filter, and from what you say now you have flooded engine, try this once again, cause when electric starter cant turn the electric engine it means youve flooded it or betteries need charging

I've been covering the stinger forever and i've never flooded an engine because of it. I like catching the flywheel with your shoe though because it just stops the engine straight away and doesn't effect the fuel flow before it dies
