I just want to see how much it would cost so I could maye get it for christmas.

BTW... what do you have to have other than the engine? I have heard of conversions but what do they do? Will I have to get a new pipe?

Thanks

You need the conversion to fit the engine, and it should come with all the hardware you need. Besides that and an engine, it should take much. RCCA did at least one build-up of a .21 Maxx a while back.

You'l need a engine, conversion kit (XTM's is probably the best) and you will most likely need to upgrade your diffs and transmission to cope with the power increase, you will also need some driveshafts but if you get the XTM conversion those are already included.

Rough Example-

XTM Racing .21 Conversion kit - $130
XTM 24.7 - $125
Robinson Racing Products Hardened Aluminium Forward Gear - $19
Robinson Racing Products T/E-Maxx Diff Set x2 - $60

Thats $334 for the Conversion (there will be more stuff to get), Also i would be surprised if the RRP Transmission holes up and the RRP Hardened diff set with the 24.7, you may need to go to 1/8 diffs which Unlimited Engineering offer at $300 for complete F/R diff assemblies.

.21 Maxx's are costly things, i'd be wary before spending the money

You are better off just going with the 2.5 when it is released by itself. 40 MPH and wheelies, which is why people converted their Maxxes, and the 2.5 does it for a lot less cash.

Agreed. Go with 2.5, less money, same speed, and your maxx won't become a money pit :)
