I finished covering my Mustang. Finally came up with a color scheme (FINALLY.. I don't know if FLB agrees w/ this color scheme of mine)

Setup:

Motor: Mega 16 series x 5 or x3 turn
GB. : DD
Prop. : 6x4 0r 7x4 (Will experiment.)
Batt. : 1100 HiCells ( From Edogflight)
Servo : HS 55
RX. : HS 555 w/ Azarr antenna

I just painted the cowl and scoops, as well, as added finishing details.:)

Age 16, I moved here in CA from Hawaii. all by myself, struggled jobs after another and school at the same time, lucky to have good close, supportive friends. Manage the pit falls of life, now I am enjoying life and remind myself of how I got to where I am now.

I own my own business, as a Physical Therapist (Muscular Evaluator) and a Licensed Massage Therapist. My job is to evaluate clients that has Workers compensation insurance. I'm their lie detector. LOL!!!!

You don't wanna know how many Brushless Mega Motors, I own, each with it's own ESC....hehehehehehehe... Don't worry, soon your hanger will be like mine, and I'm only flying and building for a year.

Glad that you got the plans, you know, I was just talking to a friend, that I sent out the plans too, and his came out okay on the measurements. HUM!!! Can it really be the weather? Is it cold down your neck of the woods?

How funny you said that, cause I had this plane inside yesterday eve, showing the Ms. of how great it came out. I installed the gears inside and heck!!! Why not, I got all the system set-up and decided to run the Mega Motor x4 w/ 7x4 prop. HEHEHEHEHE...... She woke up (12 am) and had a fit.. LOL!!!! Now, I guess, I have to buy two heaters. (Cold down there... And specially after watching TLC's hunted house.. Freaks me out to even work in the garage...lol!!!:p )

ATTENTION: Mega Motor it's not a good motor.

1) You will get addicted w/ speed.
2) Once you go BL you won't go back.
3) You will think of buying a motor first and then a compatible airplane to put it on.
4) It will give you a rush, kind'a like Stephen King's Movie "Christine" It will take command from it's owner.

Mike if your reading this, don't get a Mega motor, specially @ http://www.aircraft-world.com/default.asp Dave makes it cheap,and 1 week shipping, so you can buy more.:p

System. I glue 1/8 lite ply on inner top fuse, the plans did not indicate, on how to configure it's electric conversion, specially on it's battery placement. This is not the final configuration, I am planning of cutting the Fiber Glass formed upper fuse, and make a removable battery hatch, after it's maiden flight.

Thanks for the warning on the Mega's;) I checked the sight out and yes they have good prices but one question.How much is the shipping from Japan?Just curious,The LHS was selling the megas for 81 dollars and the controllers I have forgotten.To bad my LHS is so far away:(
Oh yeah It seems that the scale itself was off on the plans:confused: I measured all the important stuff like the motor wingspan and stuff and they came out perfect.so dont worry bout a thing;) and yes its getting cold.Snow set on the peaks of the mountains today BRRRRRRR.
I found that a heat gun can heat you up when your froze real quick too.So keep that in mind lol ;) It actually heats my workroom up very nicely.

Good deal on the mega's then I will get into them maybe in the spring when my flying skills are up to shape,Ive gotten pretty good with 3 channel areobatics but have yet to fly 4 channel:rolleyes: and a nice auger in the ground would be more well suited for a bronze bushing,closed can 10$ 400 then a 70$ work of art:D
Now about that mustang.Is it flying yet?
I stared at it for a while and could not think of anything for you as far as trim ugggg Im the worst person to ask for that lol I have no imagination in that deapartment.Maybe some bands on the front then again behind the canopy near the middle of the rear fuse.Done in the same color as on the wings of course.Sort of like FalconFixers AT-6 .....Good luck on that bro,even if you leave it plain it still looks good!

I flew her Maiden flight, trimed it to perfection.

My final setup:

Mega x5 / 7x4 / 8cell /Hcell 1100s.

Wooohoooo!!!!!!!! :cool: she was a sight to behold, a beauty when she glides, and scale looking fast park flyer. No bad characteristics, just me w/ my hands and knees shaking, thumbs trimbling, but the Pica Mustang was grooving in the air. Rolls, 4 point, and victory roll was amazing. Point and she will do it. The vertical was amazing limited.

I rank this plane as a Keeper / major 10, earning a place in my wall of favorites
