Hey guys, here is a stupid question. Has anyone ever thought about taking one of those tiny balsa gliders that you find at Toys R' Us and RC them? Anyone have any suggestions because that is what my winter project is. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Also, I got this new indoor flyer called the Mini IFO. Only one word can describe it. UNBELIEVABLE!! Great airplane. Uses standard GWS Flightpack only with 8 cell 300mAh pack. Thanks guysWildRC (http://www.flyifo.com)

I have an R/C Guillows $0.89 biplane glider. Chuck has flown one like it succecssfully quite a few times, both indoors and out. It is fast and aerobatic. He did 14 or 15 consecutive loops before it finmally ran out of room.
We both use the RFFS units, KP-00 power, LiPolys, and magnetic actuators. Weights are just under an ounce, 12" WS (top), 8" WS (bottom), ~40 sq. inch wing area. This is .27 sq feet, so about 4 oz. / per sq. foot. At this size and weight, they really need to zip along. I think if it got any heavier, you would have a real handfull.
I am not sure what tiny gliders you are talking about, or what gear you have, but it can be done, and it is fun flying an R/C model where the kit was under a buck...
