Keep the motor clean. :)

How long have you been running the motor? Binding brushes usually mean they have been run past their useful life and are too short so they will bind. Check to make sure the hoods are clean and have not been bent in a crash or something.

Those are tips that come to me right off the top of my head...

follow those tips and make sure there is no debris in the motor, and that the comm is not blacked or grooved.

Check the comm. Do the edges of the gaps (the little grooves between each plate on the comm) stick out at all.

A good cleaning, new brushes and a fresh comm will eliminate any chance of a binding brush.

do you mean a "hung brush" ?

Usually i just grab an extra brush, burn out, ect.. and **** it side ways, which will usually open up the brush hoods a little bit.

Another thing you can do, is insert a brush hood alignment tool into the brush hood. ( stick type. )
