Just wondering how smart you fellaz are in here. If you're an IMPBA member, then you might have some knowledge on this subject. Everyone take a good guess on how fast they think one has gone, and I'll post the record on here in a few days. THANKS!

How about... 120.579 mph by Andy Brown with a Competition Marine hull, in Huntsville Al on a 1/16th mile SAW.

Smart man. Been doing his homework! No, but honestly, I think that's unbelievable. Andy's boats are so well built, and so FAST! I have a 40 Eagle sitting in my garage, and I can't wait to build it. My dad has a 60 Eagle, which used to belong to Mike Brown. (No relation to Brown Bros.) That one has been clocked at 107MPH before. I've told people this before, and they say "yeah, scale speed" and I say, "no, this is get in your car and go down the road MPH" and you know they don't really believe you, but you know yourself. Hehe... Anyway, for anyone who had no clue on that one, take note, because Andy is definetly going to set more records in the future.

If you really wanna talk about records, look at this weekends SAWs in LA for electrics. They're shooting for 100 mph. last SAWs they hit almost 90 mph (less than a mph from it). And they're shooting for 80 with only 12 cells. Once electric-specific props are perfected, electrics will start to rival the nitros.

If you look a little harder, I believe Andy has hit over 126 MPH. There has been one unofficial run of 130 but with the person only getting in one pass before the boat self-distructed. Andy's record runs were also in less than ideal conditions, if he can make a run in better weather at a record trial, watch out!

i don't believe i have seen that anywhere, but the official record is 120.579. it would be interesting to see andy run that fast in an official event.

The fastest nitro that i know of is was 120.5 with the mac .85 then MAC destroid that record and hit 130mph flat.
The fastes electric is 103 and that was in 2 passes and anaverage speed of 102.
electric has a long way to go to cach up to the speed of nitro's!!!!
