Seems as though everyone I ask has a different idea on this subject. What I'm wanting to do is to use the stocK ESC ( which I have added aluminum heat sinks aside from the ones that came on it, and I've also looped the water cooling system tubeing around the ESC). I'd prefer a TEAM TRINITY motor , something like the SPEED GEMS PRO 2 MOTORS, I have to have adjustable timing, caps installed preferably and dual ballbearings. The motor that I'm looking at is the Speed Gem Pro 2 Amber, but I'm open to all reasonable suggestions.   BTW, I've got the Octura props which I'm balancing and polishing out, their the X447s and the conversion shafts.

speed gems are an excellent choice - 15-17 turns seem to be popular in this hull - use silver brushes and 3/16" advance - however the stock controller may get lost with this setup

Thanks for the response!!!!! The SPEED GEM PRO 2 AMBER 17 DBLS are on the wey. I'm going to drill the heat sinks out and build another water pickup for just cooling the ESC. TRAXXAS and TRINITY both seem to think that by setting up the ESC this way I shouldn't have a problem runniny the 17 t doubles. Thanks again!! THE LAB RAT...
