Been many moons since I posted here, but thought I would send some pics of the Hobbico Staggerwing converted to rc--rudder, elevator and motor. DC5-2.4 motor with VL gearbox , 2 145ma Kokam Lipoly cells, HS50 servos, SC5 esc, GWS reciever, now using KP prop. Poly S and Tamyia Acrylic paint. Weight 101 grams.

Hi Pat,
That looks nice.. What type of model is the original - if you do not convert it to RC? is it rubber FF?
What is the wing area (including tail area)? I need this to compare the wing loading of your plane with that of my Sperry.. What about flight performance? Is it a good performer?
Best regards,
Bulent

It was designed to be an electric ff by Hobbico and is made of foam and weighs 95 grams with 110 square inches of wing area. My conversion came in at 101 grams. Flies good, climbs well and will loop from level flight.
