I'll kick this one off.
I used to have the P10.21 truck. Its a violently quick truck, but not particularly suited to the offroad. Its too light and fast, and ends up breaking up easily.
I switched up to Proline Road Rage tires, used zip ties to compress the suspension and sent the truck to the street. It was a blast there. I could hop off curbs, across lawns, all the stuff a traditional touring car couldn't do, but with all the speed of a touring car.
The P10 Sedan is the same chasis right? The blue "super" chasis is the same in dimensions to the red one used on the trucks. I believe the drive train is the same too. Meaning a .21 should be a drop in fit, one might have to dremel out the motor mounts a bit, but it should fit.
Has anyone done this?
And second does anyone use the aluminum 2-speed? Ofna offes 2 tranny's, the plastic one is about 60 bucks and never lasted more than 5 minutes with the .21. I fixed it 3 times, each time it broke the one way, and shattered the second gear housing.
Is the aluminum any more durable? Its like $120, so I'm not sure if anyone is using it.
HEY Ducatti where ya been?
I tried to go to your site a few times but no luck!
I'd be really interested in finding this information out myself. I've been thinking about it for because every time I take that truck out the cartwheels are crazy and would like to do alittle on road. The MP takes care of the off road itch...Any ideas on bodys that would work if I switched to onroad tires!

Hey Ducatti!
If you get the right motor mounts a .21 should fit into most any rc truck. truely you are on the right set of mind, the aluminum gears will be able to handle the .21 power much better. the reason the plastic breaks is the over powering. also people might not use the alum. gears as much for fear of the weight. they think plastic is lighter. if you really want to not have to buy new gears and eventualy spend over 120 replacing plastic. i think you should invest in those aluminum gears.
thanks for hearing me,
