hello thank you for takin the time to read this. i was deciding on christmas gift and was deciding between the dominator or the pirate.k thnks for the input. also attached to which one you pick tell me why you picked it. i cant wait because i know with either of them i will get a truck that will haul.:D k thnks again for the input:cool:

well the dominator did with the proline maxx challenge, and the mods the driver did for that truck don't look to hard. i'd go with that

It depends what you want, if you want a big wheeled off-road bashing truck then go with the MP, They are very cheap at the momment. If you want more of a performance handling MT which you may want to race occasionally but bash at the same time then go with the Dominator.
If you have the cash to get a Dominator though, get it... Only get the MP if your a little tight on cash and purely want to bash.

The Dominator is nothing more than the MP except the slipper clutch and tires and rims. State any other difference that I'm not aware of, the spur maybe.
Also add Hyper 7 rear shocks front and rear, different front shock tower, (much more shock travel in the front), different bumpers and skid plates, new fuel tank with internal filter. I have the MP and have some of the Dominator updates, and I love it. Fezzy's right, you can the MP RTR at ace-hobbies.com for $350, while the Dom RTR is around $500 (I think). If you buy the Dom, you can always get a set of the MP tires and rims (tons of them on Ebay) later if you like that look. Great fun, but take the time to disassemble and loctite all metal to metal screws, engine mounts and pull start screws.

yeh thnks every one looks like youve made up my mind for me without me having to use alot of brain power (lol not alot to use):p and i cant wait to get it and build like crazy to get it running.:D :cool:

I would go with the dom if you can. I have an mp and after getting it race ready will be more, but it will be a better truck so I guess if you like to build then you could get the mp and make it awesome. Good Luck

i also have an mp-dom :) i put dom shock towers and dominator tires and rims on her and i love her... best truck ive owned... ever

i do both actually... usually i jsut drive around with some buds until we find a nice construction site and then we rip that sucker up... :)

The dom is the same as an MP except OFNA finally took what people have been saying about the MP and made the improvments and called it a dominator. Same chassis,diffs and all the good stuff the MP had plus the better racing parts it always should of had. I would go with the dom. You can always buy the bigger meats if you really want them.
