OK I need advice, I have been running my Tmaxx and having a GREAT time doing it but there is something a miss. The idle is too high and the idle adjustment screw does not really do anything. I can back it all the way out and it is still high. It shifts into 2nd no problem but twitches and crawls forward. I also do not have the take off that I always hear about ( not looking for wheelies but takeoff). I just do not have that jump.

The high speed set screw is great because there is a benchmark. 4 turns out from closed. that gives me somewhere to shoot from.

With the idle and low speed I do not really have anything, on the low speed it is the screw being about level with the arm.

Does anyone have any advice on gettin the max out of the maxx?

You need to adjust your LSN, I would lean it about 1/16 of a turn, do a couple of high speed runs and test it again. It needs very small adjustments to make a big difference. I believe that the idle screw actually goes in to reduce idle but check the manual. Don't mess with the HSN, most seem to run fine at the factory settings.
The manual can be very helpful, or go to www.traxxas.com and they have a very good tuning guide for the 2.5.

I have been using the manual and have found it to be helpful. Thanks for the advice, sometimes the posts make sound better in the brain than they do posted on the board :)

Hey, actually did a little reading and a lean LSN can also cause the idle to be irradic. Good luck.
