I am going to be painting my first body soon, and I am having a hard time deciding on a second color. The main color is Createx Iridescent Electric Blue.I am thinking that pearl copper would look nice, but I want a striking, kinda "jump out at you, hovering over the other color" effect.White might work for this, but it is too plain. Thanks for any ideas.

How about something like this (http://www.radiocontrolzone.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=104999)?

Crash if your looking for a major contrast try orange. The example Mab man gave is nice if you want the colors to not have a big contrast. Yellow also works real good against blue.

Mab:I am officialy scared.I am getting a custom paint mask, which somehow turned out to be an exact (almost) copy of that design.Kinda wierd how things turned out.I would say that great minds think alike, but what's my excuse.

Maybe if I describe the scheme a little more, you may be able to help me come to a final decision.I want the same basic design as Mab's,but with the scallop being one solid color, with a shadow underneath.I am starting to think that white would be my best bet, because of the brightness of it.

If you want a solid color in the front and a fade, just pretend the green on my body was black and spray on the otherside of the "devider." (of course you wouldnt want to use as much paint, try aiming about .25 inches away from the edge on the mask, that will give you the best fade. I would suggest using chrome or something like in mine because it gives the scallop better definition. I attached another example for a good edge.

(Great minds always think alike :D  )

I was just up at my LHS,and I think that I may use yellow.Either plain fasyellow,or fascent yellow.

Mab:I would do a devider, but I already ordered the paint masks, and they don't have an extra strip. Also,I want to keep costs to a minimum.

Its not very hard to cut a 1/8 inch strip away from the mask after you paint the main color. The secret is to not choke up on the blade and keep your eye on the edge you are following. Practice on a piece of masking tape stuck to your work bench or a piece of cardboard, you can do it!!

Good luck!
