I'm gettin a max st but not the rtr (don't like pistol grip) but overall after the radio and truck it'll cost me about $260 canadian

my first nitro was the mt pro and it looked like a nice car but there is a lot of fixes they need to make on those.

for your first nitro buy

TRAXXAS
get a smampede or better yet get the traxxas sport maxx.

traxxas makes great r/c's and are a lot better built than duratrax.

MT = Monster Truck
ST = Stadium Truck

They are both 2WD and very similar, mainly just a different body and tires/wheels.
As for what's the best truck you can get for $350, you need to decide if you want a racer (RC10GT, MST-1, XXX-NT, etc.) or a basher (Duratrax MT/ST, NMT, Terra Crusher, T-Maxx, etc.). Then you need to see what parts your LHS has for each truck, and then make your decesion. Plus you have to remember that you have to get fuel, glow plugs, etc., so you really need a kit or RTR for $300.

Oh yeah, don't post like a madman to get attention, put all the information in one post and have a little patience. Sometimes it takes a while to get a response.

so your better off spending a little more in the begining so you save A LOT in the end.

i have a max st and it is ok, but i would not recomend it to anyone. it is way to slow and it dousent jump worth a damb. i would get sompthing with at least a .21, or a EK4.

I really Suggest You look at HPI Savage 21 its a great truck! It handles incredilby well out teh box and hpi is a great company

I wouldn't touch a duratrax with a 50 foot pole man, Savage is nice but he has a $350 limit remember? Try the HPI Nitro MT, decent truck, can be converted to to a real MT (sort of) just stick some Proline Masher 2k's on and you have a ST/MT. Buy the racer kit though, $279 w/o engine and radio, you prolly already got one right? The racer has all the stuff you will get sooner or later for less than you would by buying the regular nmt and hopping it up. Hope this helps.

For less then $350, the RC10GT RTR plus is great, but not an MT. The nitro rustler is great, has a TRX 2.5 in it. The nitro stampede is good, but Pro .15. The Pirate 10 RTR is sweet. Hyper .21, 4WD, looks like a 1/10 scale buggy, and is a MT. Probably what I would get if I was not getting a 1/8 scale.

Oh yeah, the GT RTR plus and pirate 10 come with everything you need, all you need is a gallon of nitro, some AAs, and a C cell. So maybe $50 more of stuff max. The traxxas ones need a 6 cell pack and charger, but if you have electrics already, then there you go!

Judging by your name, SuperRally1, you prolly have a HPI Super Nitro Rally right? Well for $60 you can convert the Nitro Rally to a Nitro MT. All of it's suspension stuff so you can keep the hop-ups (engine, radio, drive train) you have on you Nitro Rally.:)

ive owned a nmt racer and ide rather take a big fat shiz on the nmt and throw it off my roof into a bucket thats on fire than let somebody else waste their money on one. they stink... but hey
