yeah i know its not that big of a deal i wanna putt a 350 in it and make it a clone but there would be WAY too many conversions plus right now it is an automaic and i would want to convert it to stick:D plus i can't put somti too big in it (although it would be nice) but this is going to be my everyday driver so if i putt a big block in i'm gonna be paying gas out the wazoo

somebody needs to make more classic R/C bodies. i think that would really open the hoppy up for people. i am only 23 and i actually lost my license in '00, but i have had a few oldies(and still have one, i will never part with it). i would love to see a '71 trans am, '67 corvair, '66 gto, old studebaker commander, etc. basically everything that does not exist i would love to see. oh and btw: i still have the GTO. its not original, but i didnt want a show car. wanted hot rod. 350, local machine shop punched .20, port/polish heads, knife edged crank, 10.5:1 c/r, edelbrock intake, holly 850, hooker headers, crane cam and ignition, sparco seats, and 6 point cage. whats that, i didnt mention auto or manual? T350? nope. how about muncie M-22 rock crusher? nuh uh. borg warner t56 6 shooter from a wrecked '94 Z28. lets me use 4.56s for super accelleration for such a heavy car and still get a good 25mph in top gear.
ok wait, this is R/C forum. sorry about the tangent.
anyway, still would love to find someone who makes good quality old car bodies.

I've got a 400 small block in my 83 Bird, and it has big-block torque, but small block mileage. I am still using the factory computer-controlled quadrajet carb and I get about 18 MPG on the freeway, 15 city. Thats better than a new excursion! I dont plan on keeping it a 40 forever though, I want to de-stroke it to a 377. It has *never* been rebuilt before (its a 1980 block) and runs fine. It sill had the original oil pump in it until I replaced my transmission about 6 months ago and pulled the engine out.

thanks for ur responses guys but it doesn't help i would still like to know about the difference between 190mm and 200m mm and wold they fit my Kyosho McLaren BMW F1 FW-04 w/GS-15R also how do u make a picture file smaller cause my pics r always too big

ok so the differance between 190mm and 200mm is width. i am not exactly sure about which one will fit, because i dont think either will. kyoshos website says that the width of their cars is 220mm. maybe the hpi super bodies would work, as they base those on wheelbase, and kyosho states a 280mm wheelbase for the FW04. you should contact Kyosho(www.kyosho.com) before puchasing anything to see what bodies will work. now. i think i can help you with picture size if you are even slightly computer literate. max size for pics on this board os about 60K. first off, see what kind of file your pics are. if it is *.bmp, you can save it into *.jpg using microsoft paint. that should drop the size down considerably. just for referance i just changed a 16bit .bmp pic into a .jpg and size changed from 238K to 15K. now, if your .jpg pic is still too big, guestimate about how much smaller it needs to be. for instance, 70% of original size. now, open the *.jpg version in microsoft paint and hit the Ctrl button and the W key at the same time. a box will appear and you can change the images size with the first two boxes on the screen(horizontal and vertical). now the only thing you need to remember here is that these numbers must be the same. now its just a process of saving and trying over again until you get it to fit. also, try to make it smaller than the max allowed. im sure its kinda rough for those 56k'ers to load pics on their dial-up connection. not everyone has the luxury of uncapped cable modem as i do.

sorry if im speaking german to ya. i wanted to make it as easy to follow as possible. also, i didnt wanna insult your intelligence, so if i did i apologize.

Now really is a cowl hood that big nesseary. I mean i can understand if he had some dual carb brddix intake manifold or some blower or summin but i think its looks kinda lame. My friend recently sold his 69' nova ss because it was kinda crappy. Oh well hes moved onto his 70 chevelle ss that he just bought that well is also a piece of crap but not as bad and when hes done restoring it then it'll be sweet.

yeah he has dual carbs on it and thats why he has that hood. that car puts out near 500 horses and he took me for a ride and ran out of road before he could reach top speed, we hit 110 easily though, that was crazy. so yeah, thats all i wanted to say.
