Hey im a newbie to all this and got my first truck done this weekend (Kyosho Mad=Force) I am having the most problems cutting out the body and making it look nice, is there any special tools I should buy or special cutters? I have tried an exacto knife, and razor, new scissors and even a dremel but I cannot make smooth cuts and forget about making nice ones on radius.
Any advice would be great!
Thanks alot,
Mark

You could always get the duratraxx curved siccors. They work awesome. They cut like butta.(butter for the unintelegable people)

well you could probably get them from hobby people or you lhs. (local hobby shop) they are specialty siccors so they would probably be at those places and not at like craft stores. they cost like 11 dollars though.

The best method is not the easiest... If you really want a neat job, use an X-Acto blade to score the body cut-out lines, but DON'T cut all the way through... Then, start a "tear" with a pair of scissors at one corner of the body, and begin to tear along your scored lines - the tear line will follow your scoring perfectly!
This takes some practice, but the results are excellent.
Also - you can't beat an OLFA circle cutter for scoring the wheel well openings.
Finally - you may want to sand some of the edges to get rid of paint flash and slight burrs. Use 220 or 240 grit paper.
This body was done with this technique; no scissors were used anywhere.
