Here is are some a-arms and a body mount that I made, the aluminium a-arm is cast aluminium and the plastic parts are from plastic cutting boards. Don't really need the parts, I'm just experimenting.

Hey you've gotta start somewhere. The only thing I would do is actually change the design, keep it the same length and keep the mounting holes, but aluminum is stronger than plastic, so you don't need to make it as thick as the plastic arm.
