has anyone had a bogging/stallout with their bud boat
after running for a short time.happens when taking a
sharp turn,engine revs then bogs down or quits? Need
help or answers

Sounds like you just might have a lean carb. The motors are set up with a guess as to what your weather conditions, altitude and other factors might be. With nitro you have to dial in the carb to suit these conditions. Take the high speed needle out 1/2 turn and see if that helps. You may have to go further if needed.

I have to agree with Ron. I was having the same problem until I richened up the high speed setting on the carb. It seems that all of our buddies think that leaning out the carb is always the answer. In fact I find it is the opposite. When your boat takes off and runs only a few feet and dies, the carb is to lean. Once you richened it up a bit the Bud will run fine.

I live at 2600 feet altitude. Our radar gun only clocks the Bud at 23 mph. Im using 35% nitro. It looks like it runs fast, but in fact it is only going 23 mph. We will see how it runs after it is good and broken in.
