Ifyou know your way around trucks from electric then I would suggest the OFNA DominatorW hyper engine. Durable;better faster engine than say the HPI. If your not in a hurry;might wait for the Associated Monster GT. Associated has not made abad one yet.If you don't know much about nitro;Traxxas is hard to beat for support and I definitely wouldn't suggest the Dominator. I from what I've seen (don't own one) the new maxx is very fast and can be set-up with a minimum of hop-ups to give anything a run for it's money.

maxxes are money pits, i've never seen the argument that you can replace all the parts with hop up parts as a valid one.. i've had my dominator/monster pirate for 3 months or so, and spent about 30 bucks on broken stuff and i'm ruthless on it... people focus too much on top speed in monster trucks, durability and handling count far more than that to me
go to www.nitrohouse.com or ace-hobbies.com for a good price on an ofna truck.
