The "maryjo3.freeyellow.com/planscal.html" web site where GHMBO's plans were posted seems to be gone. Some of the other plans which were posted there are at
http://members.fortunecity.co.uk/slmohr/rcplan6.htm but not GHMBO's. Are they posted somewhere else?

Hello John
Joe found another host for his page and I think that all is included. I will be posting another set of plans soon. The new site is

Thanks, Jim. I'm happy to see all those plans still out there, and I look forward to seeing your new work.

Jim,
I'm looking for a 3D airplane, can you suggest a good site to where I can find one? And I downloaded some of the plans on the site provided (link) can't seem to print them to scale:( any suggestions as well?
Thanks,
2NG

Hey 2NG
The best way to print the DXF files to scale is to download the free TurboCad and open them and check the scale ruler and resize if necessary. Then print in a tiled fashion and tape together. The free Turbocad can be downloaded at:
http://www.modellbauerauktion.de/dxf_files/
It is 7.35 megs.
What is a 3D airplane?

Hi Jim,
I will jump in on the "3D" part. This is a reference to the aerobatic models that are set up with extremely large controls and lots of power in order to perform the more exotic maneuvers including tumbling, hovering on the prop etc. To each his own.
Cheers, Dave

Thanks Dave, afterwards I sort of figured that out. I am one of those old duffers that likes to replicate the real - even though it barely flys. Back in the control line days I was a real stunt pilot, but that was ruined by a Citizenship setup with a Live Wire Kitten powered by an Atwood .049 - the R/C MicroFlyer of its day. Again, Thanks

Hi Jim,
I was into active pattern flying in the late sixties where I learned the shape and placement of most maneuvers. Also, The full scale aerobatic group comes to the Farmville airport (3 miles from my house) each October for a major competition. My concept of pattern flying is linked with these experiences and observations. If it can be done gracefully with a man in it, then I enjoy trying to duplicate the maneuver with a model. And in fact, about 30 years ago I had the reflexes for this stuff;)
Take care, Dave
