Hello All...Just getting started in nitro vehicles like the Monster Trucks. Just curious on which one to buy and why? Like what I've seen so far with the T Maxx also the Savage. Let me know what you think and a good place to purchase. Thanks

You should get a T-Maxx because it's is easy to start and maintane. So if you ever want to race you have so many parts you can buy for performance!

Go down through the threads, there are 2 different ones that i know of, about the best and the worst.

Take a look at the HPI Nitro MT, not the savage. It is faster than the t-maxx with a few upgrades and handles about 5 times better. It might not climb as well but handles like a dream.

no its not. the tmax has been clocked by nitro at 40 mph. and the stadium truck mt has been clocked at 32mphby nitro.so i would go with the max because its bigger and faster out of those two. but my all time pick for someone who is probably going to bash with this truck would be the monster pirate.because it is fast, easy to start engine, very durable(ofna truck), and wont break the bank if you get one. also it comes with a massive .21 engine:D.well good luck. the fastest stadium truck monster truck that i would suggest is the monster pirate with a top speed of 48.9:eek: mph. this was clocked by nitro.but its handeling sucks and has really crapy servos so i wouldnt suggest the truck.

I would recomend the t-maxx....... BUT thats only b/c i currently own a generation 1 and generation 2 Maxx, and am VERY PLEASED with them. The power of the 2.5 is hard to put into words, so my advice is to check all the threads, e-mail/PM people who own them, and check out the videos of each. (the T-maxx 2.5 on radiocontrolzone.com is a good one)
The 2.5 engine need NO UPGRADES!!! The books even says not to waste your money on an aftermarket air filter b/c the stock one on is the best of the best.
Hope that helps!

Do a 1 on 1 with a WILLING savage owner that would be glad to give you some info and answer your questions.
check out the vids!! they can give you more on performance than we can put into words.
So far my t-maxx adventure has been pretty good. it EASY to tune, EASY to start (accually REALLY easy, fired up almost instanly for the 1st time!), somewhat easy to work on (rutein matinence is pretty good, just when you get into the diff's and drive-shafts when it becomes a little more time consuming). Oh and the shock settings, when your in the parking lot- slam them down and you can almost have a 100% garentee it ain't going to flip (of course it will if you hit some thing or are sliding and all of a sudden get alot of grip)
see how the savage performs (dont go on speed alone, a geared up truck with no bottom end gets REALLY boring REALLY fast), how well it is to start, tune etc.....
Hope this helps!

If you have lots of money you can take a look at ThunderTiger EK-4!! Its arr so you only have to install a radio and then, takeoff (yea for .70 engine it will be a takeoff, not a start... ;) ) You can even check some movies of the EK-4 here on radiocontrolzone!

i would suggest that you go to a local hobby shop and see what they stock. i would go with something that quite a few people around there have. and make sure that the hobby shop has plenty of parts on-hand! if you have the best truck around but can't get parts, your truck becomes useless.:(
