Soon im gonna buy a savage, and probebly switch the stock engine after a very short while.
I wanted a diffrent pull-start engine (ofna 8 port hyper), and for those who know about this engine- is it any good?
and another thing: is it any problem to start a non pull-start engine on a monster?

thanks.

you won't be able to put a non pull start engine in the savage,as there is no way to get at the flywheel:(

Yes this engine is SWEET, youl get constant wheelies if you stick to the stock gearing!! It is a real tight engine, just don't pull the pull rope all the way out of starter you'll break it for sure!! You only need to pull it out like 10" also loosen the glow plug to help let off some compession!! after it's broke in it'll start much easier!!

By the way, I had to turn the idle mixture needle in 1.5 turns to keep it from flooding while starting it for the first time. I now have about 3/4 of a gallon through it is totaly AWSOME!!
