Aye...but do the new people to nitro know?

Quite possibly, yes. When people are ust entering a phase of this hobby, it's common for them to visit manufactorer's websites to learn more about their products. If someone new to nitro was looking around, and found their way to www.rc10.com then they would have found out about the BFT (Monster GT). The same goes for all new vehicles, such as the Savage, T-Maxx, Titan, Mad Force, etc.

This will be the Baddest truck out there. No other truck can claim that many people will buy a monster like this one will it gets out. Well the new maxx, But just read traxxas forum it to has it,s bugs. But this will be the truck to beat.Every one is going bigger and with more power. What other company advertises that you can put a bigger engine in and sataes that there truck will be built to handle it and will have a up graded engine for it. .21 to .60 Yeah this will be the truck to beat into the new year.

Your making an opinnion on a truck thats not even out and made by a company that has never made a monster truck before. I am excited to see it but wont expect it to be the best.

Do real working shock resevoirs help the suspension on monster trucks or do they hinder the suspension.

The "REAL" resevoirs do help the suspension. Do you need me to explain?

Its mentioned in XtremeRC magazine. I read it to be a .50 not .60.

I have heard about the interview with Cilff Lett, where he said that the drivetrain in the Monster GT was designed to take up to a .50 size motor. I was just wondering if it has been verified that the .50 size motor would be an option from Associated or if he was just taling about the strength of the trucks drivetrain.

Somebody in another thread mentioned that in that interview with Cilff Lett, he pointed out the reason for the Monster GT having a transverse-mounted engine and the advantages of that set-up. If anyone has read that article, I would like to know what the advantages the transverse mounting has.

The truck seems to have a descent set up, but the size of the truck can also be some what mis leading, there has been dozens of posts about the size of tires on the new truck, but look at the rim size compared to the Maxx tires, If they truly wanted to make that much of an impact in the photos they should have increased the rim size and cut down on that oversized sidewall that they have created, if those tires come loose and balloon out there could be some serious body damage, as for the imitation shock res's that just seems like it is trying to make it look like it has options that really arent there. And true they have mentioned that the drive train will hold up to larger engines which is a great hop up already included but after the price of the truck and then to automatically jump up to a .50 engine the price will be outrageous. And perhaps are they expecting the stock engine to be a little in the weak side so they are expecting a rush on larger engine installations.
And for comparisson sakes lets keep the 1/8 trucks in their catagories and the 1/10 in their own as well.
With the manufacturers track record they do make an excellent product, and I am sure that there new truck will live up to many of those expectations, but lets remember that bigger faster tougher also means heavier more expensive and more parts.
Just my thoughts

I don't see any people posting anything about damage from the tires on the Terra Crusher or the Ofna Titan. Both those truck have huge tires also. Of couse I could be wrong and there may a group of people that have had "body damage" from their tires being too big. I am pretty sure that it has already been said that the shock reservoirs would be a FactoryTeam option, and not stock. As far as the tranny goes, I just assumed that the reason they made the comment about it being able to handle up to a .50 was to ensure people that it was very strong and durable. If they were afraid that the stock motor was not going to be powerful enough, wouldn'tthey just use a more powerful .21 motor instead of going with a .50. The Terra Crusher uses a .18 and it does not seem to have many problems in the power department.

well yes they would ..you would think ,..but maybe they said that because the truck isnt as fast as they thought it would be & put the motor that is in the truck..in it because they have a deal with(thunder tiger????) & its the same people that make there rtr motors...maybe
P.S & to keep the cost down on the truck...how much would it cost to have a company to make motors for your gt & Ill need (500 motors before the first of the year)..maybe associated thought the motor in the gt would have ben good enough, but then realized it was under powered..& instead of finding a company to make them.. all those motors..they said what they did (about the other motors it could handle.. & ..thought its are rtr truck & we will fix the weak motor & phoney shocks. with are team kit????(i dont think its the motor because ..i think that motor puts out 2.3bhp???)it may have some thing to do with the way the motor sits in the chassis & all the things that the power of the motor has to go threw to get to the ground...maybe

In R/C Car they stated that they were worried about the weight of the truck. Also but the Thunder Tiger .21 pushed the truck along as if it weighed Half of what it does. And with the Huge tires it would spin all for tires from a stand still.
Also in the interview with Cliff he stated that the engine is transverse because it makes it easier to start. And gives you more liberty with vehicle allowing you to put all the radio gear together for easy removal and cleaning. He stated that the engine wouldn't be this way if the truck was meant to be a RACE truck. "If we were going to race the worlds, then the engine probably wouldn't be in that position" Said by Cliff. He stated it is a High performance FUN vehicle.

well i was going to get one of these trucks but, went with the tc,the gt truck only is as fast as the old maxx with the .15..witch wasnt that bad ..it was a good basher out of the box.....BUT it wasnt 12 ponds either...associated makes good stuff but they always come ouy with a rtuck, car, buggy that needs some things..& then after you put the money in your truck they come out with a factory truck..& I dont think this truck is going to do any thing to the monster truck craze, People will buy it because its a associated, but i wont be one of them people...ben in the hobbie for to long to no that the name of the product dose not make the best stuff all the time..& think this is one of those thing.......if a nother company was coming out with truck..people woundnt be nuts over this truck.....& ya a tc ,but when i got mine i new that it had some thing that needed to be fixed & have only $520 into my tc (including...buying the tc) & i will put it up againts the gt & i never seen the gt run.....
