I wanted to give my T-Maxx a better look without using tons of cash (which I do not have), so I was thinking about painting the plastic chassis parts.

They did it on the Hardcore NTC3 for the body posts in RCCA (I forgot which issue).

Anyways, would this work? I do know that you can paint them, and then use a sealer to kinda seal the paint, which will make it very scratch resitant, and give the paint a nice shine.

You can do it provided you clean the parts very well and lightly sand them to give the paint bite, but with the stress an R/C car goes through, no amount of sealer is going to stop the paint from chipping when it is run and in a short time, the whole paint job will look like crap.

I wouldn't suggest it either-

We did that to my friends evader, it looked cool at first, for the first 3 minutes of the battery, then as it gets dirty and chips (does that real quick) it starts to look like crap, and there really isn't any way to remove it easily :(

Unless they are black, you can clean them really well then dye them. You can dye them if they're black too, it will show just not as much.

Any fabric dye like RIT will do.As for tons of cash - RIT costs about $4.99 per bottle, you use half of it, and can save the solution you mix for later. :D
