i was at the wild hobbies site and saw they put carpet on the jumps..What is going on with that stuf?? man talk about dumb, if your car/truck cant make it up the jump, get different tires that grip.

This is the stupidest thing ive seen yet, next the squeky tracks LOL

Actually its meant to help keep the jump from being worn away. It allows it to keep its shape throughout many heats. Plus they won't need to recut the lip of the jump when they add more dirt to rebuild it since the carpet is there.

Ya it preserves the jump well. I used at jump bikes and my jumps would get wrecked by the rain. But I found old carpet to put on them and it kept them in perfect condition.

I wouldn't consider it fun. When jumps end up getting sort of a "kicker" worn into them, its pretty much impossible to fly level or land perfectly. I don't know about you, but I really don't like getting air with my 7.5, only to have the rear end 6" above the front end in the air just because a jump is worn.

WHAT? Are these jumps only a foot wide? christ, just take a different line on the track(or jump). have you ever seen real sprints or mods on dirt as the race goes they might have to make the groove wider. sounds to me like the carpet makes it phoney. i think the track maintnence crew should regroom the track and dont be lazy. make everyone who races there help out too!

Its kind of hard to take a different line when the whole jump eventually ends up like that from buggies and trucks hitting it all day....
