One of the rear shocks on my T3 is squeaky and not smooth at all. But the shock is very smooth without the spring, so i took the spring and put it on my other shock thats working good and now that shock is squeaky and gritty. So i know its the spring. I looked at the spring and theres nothing that i can see that would cause it to do this. Any ideas?

Also, how do you keep the shock from squeaking when it gets almost fully compressed, it does this because of the shock piston going bove the oil level. Do you guys know what im tlking about? I have the oil level as high as its supposed to be but the piston still goes above the oil level. Any ways to fix this?

thanks

hey just a wild thing of the top of my head...are your shock bladders shot inside the shocks and are the shock shafts bent at all?

The associated springs do tend to rub on the shock bodies - yours may be bent somehow - check it rolls along a flat surface.

The Associated shocks will have an air pocket in them when they are assembled correctly - there's not much you can do about it.

You could put some spacers on the shock shaft to limit the shocks upward travel a bit (still let the car bottom out though), to avoid getting into the air pocket

Or you can spend money and get the progressive suspension resevoirs - I think Yokomo have just come out with a bladder kit that will fit the associated shocks as well.

i dont know if assoc. shocks have them but they are like little rubber boots on the inside of the shock near the cap or inside the shock cap
