Where can I find Chris-Craft barrelback plans???

Can anyone help me to locate plans for the 1940 Chris-craft barrel back?? It seems Dumas has kits but I prefer to scratch build. Can anyone direct me??

Which barrel back are you wanting to build? I am planning on building the triple cockpit barrel back in 1/4 or 1/3 scale sometime in the future. I will buy the Dumas kit to get the hardware to be scaled up from and the plans. I have a set of Dumas plans for the double cockpit but they are not scaled nor dimensioned and would be hard to work with.

I'm going with the double cockpit 19' 1940 model, probably in 1/5 scale
Are the Dumas plans in detail and scale? I dont mind changing the size of the plans as long as everything is there

That's a real nice boat. The plans that I have are for the 24' runabout and they are not scaled nor do they have any dimensions to scale from. I have thought about buying the 1/8 scale Dumas kit and taking the measurements of the kit pieces and transferring them to the plans to get the correct scale factor. Keep me posted on what you decide to do.
