I bought this charger about 7 months ago and it worked great. Now though it has a hard time booting up (takes approx 15 seconds when cold to get the fan and processor up to full par.) Yesterday I was charging a 4 pack GP3300 and it never detected peak voltage and over charged the pack and fried it.. The charger was also really hot even though it had adequate cooling! I'm scared to use this charger now cause I do not want to destroy other battieres. I've been looking into the reedy quasar pro and it seems like that has problems too! I'm not ready to spend 250+ bucks on a compeition charger. God is there a charger that works for under 200? I race competitivly and need something that is reliable. I'm very causios about buying another integy charger because of this situation. I emailed integy and hopefully they will respond. :( I want options that the reedy has but I want reliablity. From what I hear though, Associated has much better customer support than Integy. Any help would be appreaciated.

The only reason other companies like Reedy have better customer support is because they actually make their chargers unlike Integy who slaps their stickers on chargers made by another company. Ever wonder why the Duratrax digital looks so much like the Integy 16x3 charger? Yea, a third party company makes Duratrax's and Integy's chargers.

This is the first I've heard about Integy chargers having this problem.

I dunno...maybe frying the battery was my fault. It seemed like it arched through the casing to the banana plug. The charger definately has a problem booting up there, maybe the power supply is going? I put an order in for the quasar pro, it should be here friday for racing this weekend. It will probably be fine, and will give me all the options that I need that the integy doesn't.
