I am looking for some chrome rims that will fit the Original RC10 Buggy. Truck rims will work too, Currently I have HPI Gold plated truck rims on it (got off of Ebay that way) but they are trashed out.
What other rims will fit?

Rears, 1/4" axles or 3/16" axle size but you'll have to drill them out. There are still plenty of stocks available, and if you go with white you can dye them any color:

I too have the original rc10 and have used HPIs "SS off road" wheels. They are "chrome" and look pretty cool. 5 spoke design. The exact part number I am not sure of, but they make the rears specifically for the rc10. The fronts have adapters to fit most cars.

bubblejunky - I was thinking about using those HPI rims too but what tires fit those? What kind are you using?

For on road, I use the Pro-Line Road Rage I or Road Hawg I, I am not quite sure. i will try to do some research on previous Tower orders to see if I can find exact part numbers. They are 2.0 inches in diameter, and last long with great grip. Same for the fronts. I think they have pro-lines in 2.0 inch diameter.

For off road, well, she never goes off road any more.

Did some research, found that the fronts are pro-line Road Hawg III 2.0 inch. The rears are probably the same, but may be Road Hawg I's or III's, not sure.

If you keep the adapters from the HPI wheels, or just buy new ones (They come separately for like $3) you can mount any 12mm hex wheels on your car. Just cut off the little lip on the front side to allow the wheels to sit flush and you will be all set.

SteveK,

I have done what you said to put wheels on my B3 when running in the street, but what about the fronts. I would like to put different rims but dont see how I could put hex wheels onto the front of the rc10 or b3. Please advise.

People have used either Traxxas or HPI front spindles and steering knuckles. BRP made some inserts for touring car wheels so you could use them on a pan-car front end. I don't know if they are still available, but you could check.

OR, if you can find some 'old' wide front wheels from Pro-Line, they should be able to fit touring car tires.
