View Full Version : a good pipe to run with Hyper 8 port??

I know alot a R/C'ers are pulling out the stock Savage motors an going with a 8 port. But what pipes are they running? I hear alot of CVEC's an RB086 running pretty good with the 8 port. Is there anything else out there that would give about the same performance for a bit less money? An what about the header? Are they leaving the stock header with the new motor an pipe? Would it not make sence to put on a bigger header as well?
Someone plz. fill me in???

is Paris any better then the RB or the CVEC?

What hole is probly the best to go with if I wanted bottom end, the one closer to the cone or the one farthest from the cone?

DONT GO WITH THE CVEC! It has too much backpressure for the 8-port and will cause your motor to bog down by forcing too much fuel into the carb. My LHS discovered this tuning my truck, I have to now buy ANOTHER 60 dollar pipe.. Im going with the 086 this time.
