I am thinking about getting the new Sirio 3.0 And was wondering if it is really a good brand.
Thanks!

no offence thats kinda a dumb question. but yes they are a great brand and that 3.0 isnt going to do to much for your tmaxx performance. it might even bring it down. so just to let you know.

Not a dumb question at all. He asked a valid question. SnAtZeRpAzOoKa, you might want to do a search on that engine, I' pretty sure you will get better advice than what rcjughead just stated.

the owner at my LHS put the sirio in his T-MAXX 2.5, i think its a .18 motor....and he says its alot faster than the 2.5, i didnt see it run though but he says he can pop wheelies going down a steep hill,,,,lol
it has more ports too i think!

If you don't want to buy a whole new engine, siro also offers upgrades for the 2.5.

Well My .15 is busted so I was either going to send it in and get the 2.5 back for 105 bucks. Or I'll just buy the new 3.0. (I think I'll get the 3.0)

Hey Snat, that engine is a hell of an upgrade. go for it. but Sirio offers a new Piston and Sleeve for the 2.5 thats suppose to offer better performance than the stock P and S.
Also RCJUGHEAD, do you ever have anything worth saying. you spew utter garbage into this forum.
i wish a Mod would monitor this guy and decide if he is even worthy enough to be a member of this forum.

sorry i just thought at the time it wasnt a valid question. also i heard from somewhere that it wasnt worth payin the 300$ for the engine and i think it was in this forum to so its up to you and if the guy at the lhs said it was better then i would say try it and see although if its not better thats 300$ down the drain just to warn you ahead of time

the engine can be purchased for $175. to 199. shop
around.reviews have been far and few though. one
guy review said that if you running your average .12
or .15 you will notice a huge difference but if you have
the 2.5 it might that big of a difference. thats just one
opion though.

wow i didnt realize they had brought the price down that much in like a month. if those are right prices i say go for the engine i was only against it because of the high prices. cool man go with the engine.
Something to consider is that Sirio engines (like a lot of performance engines) have no warranty. If you stick with the 2.5 at least you have some coverage. And yes Traxxas has replaced some of the 2.5's that had problems. All I know is that I would be hard pressed to beat Traxxas's $100 trade-in. Get a brand new engine for $30 more than the cost of a sleeve/piston/con rod.

man you guys are throwin down some good points but man no warrenty or warrenty that is the question. stock or race. it all depends on the application whether you should get one or not

Yeah and Sirio pumps up their hp ratings by... 123, A LOT! They said their .12 pumped out 2hp or somthing. Whatever, their engines are still monsters and beat the crap out of most other engines out there.
