what do you use for fuel and plug on the savage? also what temps are you running at?

I use 20% blue thunder or eliminator. The temps on the stock engine never went below 350. Yes 350. At one time my temp gauge wouldnt read it because it only goes to 400. The engine never ran good at normal operating temps. I had a hyper 8 waiting. I would use mccoy mc8 mc 59 or os #8 pugs. Temps should be in the 250 area.

i had lots of problem getting the temps down and tuning the 21 bb with the stock pipe. so i wanted to play around with the motor and made my own pipe for it out of copper pipes.. believe it or not, it made a world of difference!! i think i'll keep my home made pipe on there. the temps, if i really push it wot will go as high as 265.. but average around 250..

I run 20% Trinity Monster HP fuel and O.S. A5 plugs. I'm running normal temps and cooler. I don't have a temp gun but this has been running cooler than my other truck. How did you guys have such high temps?? That's wierd, I'm sure you tried richening it up some but maybe you should try different plugs.

I use Jack's 20%. It was recommended by my LHS over the Odonnell 20%. They told me it was the most pure they carried. It's been working nicely so far. I can a nice white smoke.

As for plugs, HPI recommnds McCoy MC-8 and OS A5's.

i've been using traxxas 20 percent fuel..and using o.s. a5 plugs..
is trinnity fuel better than the traxxas?

Hay guy's I have been running 20% sidewinder with A5 glow plug and my temps running it lean never went above 280.:)

i run 30% byrons w/mc-8 and have had no problems keeping good temp.ranging from 235 to 270 put a big a/m cooling head on and really watch the temps fall between 25 and 30 degrees she'll scream then :D

I use 20% O'donnel nitro gas and an OS A5 glow plug. My temperatures are about 260 degrees.
