I got a hyper 8 port on 5.5 tanks and when I gas it, it just launches real hard and kinda sounds like a high pitched scream. I don't here it shift unless I build to the shift point slowly with throttle.. When I peg it I dont here a shift at all. Is this because the RPMs are engaging the two speed faster than the old motor? Someone please help!!

violent jerks of the throttle will cause the two speed to engage almost imediatly,even with the stock engine.also,the noise of the engine is very loud when you peg the throttle and you wont hear the gear change,if the gearbox is shifting when you feather the throttle slowly,i guarentee that it's doing it when you peg it:D

You should be able to notice the difference when it shifts to 2nd gear. If you don't hear it or notice the boost in acceleration then it is simply not shifting.
