Hello gang,

Here's my newly built Jellybean # 4, though this particular JB will not be hanging in my hangar for long, because someone else name is written on it, and it was a pleasure to work with this particular JB.

It took me 3 months to come up with a design, I was going to trim her with traditional pattern trim, as I was cutting the trim, I accidentally made a wavy line... OOOOHHHHHH, what a mistake, but to my surprise, It looked nice, so I decided to go along with it. I was even more surprised, when all the colors that I wanted to trim her with, came into play.

Hey Genovia,

I see you are burning the candles late again! Looks trick. I think you have built more aircraft in the last year than most of us do in a lifetime!

Dale

****I see you are burning the candles late again!****

My building mojo is back, I thought I lost it:) ... I have been up, I finally end up around 3:30am finishing this plane, and two other plane, including my Sailplane.... Speaking of Sailplane (on Sailplane forum.. I gave it my HIGHEST vote)

****I think you have built more aircraft in the last year than most of us do in a lifetime!***

I love the challenge. One thing that I find out, I am not a good scratch builder, as of yet. I don't have the patients, now that my wife and I are expecting a baby.. I am thinking about getting into ARFs.:)

---- Nice to see more of you again here in RCZ, Dale:)

Yours,

Hey patience is a challenge within itself, keep with it and dont get no stankin ARF hehe
Take it easy

Yes Geno,

It's good to be back. Missed you guys. I had to take care of some "real life" things, so the hobby was shelved for a while. Man, I have not had a stick in my hands in months. Just checked back into the board a few days ago. Had a lot of catching up to do.

Need to finish my MM C180 and then I have a few more planned.

Hi Antonio,
Boy, that trim scheme is pretty! If I lived closer I would probably be one of your best customers. You seem to have a great eye for arranging the colors.

Hello flyinhigh

Right where it was the last time I corrosponded with you. Fuse and left side of the wing are done. Need to pick up on the right side wing panel and you know the rest.

I searched to see how yours was flying, but did not locate anything, so now I do not feel so bad. Ha Ha.

Oh well, we will get there sooner or later. Good to hear from you.

Dave,

Thanks, WOW!!! It looks good in pictures, but up close, it's not all that:)....

:) Not bad for a color blind. LOL.. Finding a good color scheme is not my favorite part of this hobby.

Thanks for the nice comment Dave:)

:D haaaahaaahaaa real funny man
Just waite till spring then Ill unleesh my fleet on you ;) Ill have pics of the AT-6 up soon so I dont look like a slacker (which I really am)Im having tons of fun with the saw hehe
But really the trim looks good and if you really want some constructive criticism put your lighter colors on first that way the darker color doesnt show thru, but sometimes its not possible so Im giving it an A,
Thanks for hooking me on building this plane,Its a good looker and from what you tell me its awsome in the sky.
Oh Yeah you need any baby clothes?Jody is a professional baby clothes collector and we have much stuff, and I mean alot.....
Calmair good to see you again
the cessna I found a lil difficult to cover maybe its the paint. You gonna build a JB too?

Genovia:
Your color schemes, (and those of others on this board), always turn out very nice. I am an electronic person, very dull and analytical, and my aircraft tend to be generic looking as far as color goes. Do you have a good imagination or do you just start slapping it on and see how it turns out? At any rate, you have built so many planes lately that we have a lot of color schemes to look at.

flyinhigh:

After the C180 I am going to scratch up a GW Sport, hopefully by springtime.

I take it that you painted the framework before covering on the 180? I really wanted to do mine in white, but I have a whole roll of red and my dad has some white left over, so I may do a reverse color scheme, using the white for the trim. Since the red is a little darker I will probably not paint the frame. I'll start a thread when I get back on it full steam ahead

Dale,

I hate analyzing :)

****Do you have a good imagination or do you just start slapping it on and see how it turns out? ****

When I start my scheme, I run a search on google for ideas. I take a picture of the plane and load it up to MS paint program, to see if the ideas that I've gotten from google would look good. Change things around and see what I can come up with.

My favorite scheme is my Coca-Cola Python. I couldn't come up with a good design, while working on her, I was drinking Coke, and it hit me. Simple and yet, stunning. COca-Cola.

Hey Antonio !
You mean this one,OK now tell me:p Are you really sure about the prop size you told me about.I dont want to go burning up motors and speed controllers.Im thinking the 5x5 props are more for speed I want to get the plane flying for pattern not pyloning, you know what I mean. Will it hover with a straight 400 in it or will I need a brushless? Also and I know there has to be somewhere in the building process that had you thinking or am I wrong?I look over the plans alot as I have them hanging on my wall like a poster.
Any help I can use will be great :D

***Are you really sure about the prop size you told me about.**

Go mega:) 4T or 5T, 8x4, 7 or 8 cells. Good thrust.

***Im thinking the 5x5 props are more for speed I want to get the plane flying for pattern not pyloning***

The 5x5 combo is great:) it will fly. Pattern flying and Plyon is somewhat the same in conjoined concept. Pattern has a grace of aerobatics and speed, whereas plyon is up, down, and roll:) in high speed.

**Will it hover with a straight 400 in it or will I need a brushless?***

You would probably go next step up. 480 maybe? Will give you a decent thrust.

***Also and I know there has to be somewhere in the building process that had you thinking or am I wrong?***

Make a JIG:) checkout my Meridian, and how I aligned the fuselage. Keep that fuse straight:) aside from that. No, the Jellybean is simple:)

***I look over the plans alot as I have them hanging on my wall like a poster.
**

Time to build that thing. It easy Mike:) trust me..
