OK, this is the charger that I have.

Charger (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXD548&P=0)

It says in the description that it charges batteries ranging from 1200 to 2000 mAh.

What happens if I try to charge a 2400 or 3000mAh battery with it? Does it wreck one of them, or does it just not charge it up past 2000 or what? I have been thinking about getting some better batteries, but do I need to by a better charger too? I don't race anyway, so if so I will probably just stick with the 2000's for the time being.

It should charge NICD 2400's with no problem, but its not a good idea to try charging any capacity NIMH on it.
I dont know for sure, because I am on a school computer, and it wont let me see the link to what charger you have.

It specifically says that it is for charging 6-7 cell NiCd packs and that it is not for NiHM batteries. I guess I didn't really think about it but all the batteries bigger than 2400 are NiHM batteries aren't they. Thanks.

Yeah thats right...any charger can charge a bigger capacity battery than it's meant to (same type) it just takes longer.
