the wheels wont spin smoothly

i have a question that has been bothering me alot... on my stampede, the tires arent spinning as freely and thus sucking up alot of battery power. this is bothering me alot. HELP!

If its in the rear, look for binding in the transmission, check that the wheel nuts aren't too tight, and look at the bearings to check for binding. If its in the front, check the bearings, or anything on the axle like a groove.

What I do is Isolate the different areas in my mind and eliminate them one at a time until I find the problem....usually hair around the axles or wheels too tight.

Here's a trick for when the wheels bind up when tightened: remove the hexes and sand the side that has the slot for the pin a bit to make it thinner. This compensates for the tendancy of the hex to wrap around the pin and rub.

if it's not running freely DON"T run it!! It's doing more than just sucking battery power...it's also overloading the motor and speedo, if you put a greater load on a motor, you need to gear lower...hope this helps...
