This is the first of my latest creations, a fantasy-scale:D triplane.
- 19" span
- 170 sq.in. wing area
- 3 Cloud9 Foam Wings with CF leading and trailing edges
- 1.5MM Zepron fuse with internal balsa backbone
- 1/32" horizontal stab
- 1mm CF rod and Ripstop rudder
- 1 1/4" Dubro Mini Lite Wheels
- DC1524 geared 4:1
- GWS 7x3 prop
- GWS R4P RX
- GWS BP101 servos
- Pixie-7 ESC
- 2 or 3-cell 550mah LiPoly
- 5oz AUW (with 3-cell pack)
- R/E/T control
As you probably noticed, this baby is a hybrid of very many building techniques.;)
On 2 cells, it is a gentle flyer. On 3 cells, it no longer flies like a draggy tripe.
Now I finally understand why a Fokker DR1 is a sight to behold. An indoor scale and full-house DR1 is definitely a nice possibility.

This was actually done in collaboration with my wife and is officially her baby. Say hello to the mini-Rake.
- 23" span
- 147 sq.in. wing area
- 2mm CF leading and trailing edges
- 2mm Zepron "ribs" and aileron
- balsa spar
- Meat Tray canopy and balsa fuse with 1mm CF rod stiffener
- 1.5mm Zepron sandwich fixed vertical and full-flying horizontal stabs
- Astroflight 4:1 Firefly and ESC
- GWS 6x3 prop
- GWS R4P RX
- GWS BP101 Servos
- 8-10 cell 50mah NiCd or 120mah NiMh
- 4.1oz AUW with 8-cell pack
- A/E/T control
This baby likes to fly fast, especially on 10 cells. It might need more undercamber though for better lift and slow flight capabilities.
I originally wanted a full house version but backed out at the last minute due to thrust/weight considerations. The rudder is actually already hinged but currently kept fixed with a piece of tape on the other side.
Because the cold weather seems to be severely affecting my NiCd and NiMh packs, I am planning to try on 2-cell 550mah LiPoly packs with probably a slightly larger prop to compensate for the lower voltage.
Photo is with a DC5-2.4 geared 5:1. This setup was a bit disappointing, especially on 8 cells.

All good things seem to come in threes. So say hello to my latest full-house flyer.
- 24" span
- 164 sq.in. wing area
- 3mm Zepron Wing
- Meat tray horizontal and vertical stabs
- 5mm CF fuse
- M100 motor geared 5.56:1
- GWS 10x4.7 prop
- GWS RX4P
- 1 GWS BP101 servo and 2 Hitec HS-55 servos
- GWS GS100 ESC
- 2-cell 950mah LiPoly
- 7.2oz AUW
- R/E/A/T control
Picture is with wing with larger cord. Because of CG and drag issues, I decided to reduce chord 2" from root and 1" from tip.
I am a bit disappointed with this one, only because it was a bit too heavy and too hot to perform wild aerobatics within my small flying area. It should be a hoot though in a larger area.

Hello Jun,
It is a delight to watch you pump out all those original models. I am amazed that you have built three models that have the prop on the nose! What's up? I would also like to know what photo processing program you are using, hose are nice, big pictures.
Keep the innovations coming, Dave

Gee Dave. Please don't pick on me for building a few tractor planes.:( It's just that I had a few too many props and decided to kill some.;)
Seriously though, I actually couldn't make up my mind on what pusher to build next. I also wanted to take a break on building another wing for my Pushy Galore. So in the meantime, I decided to build the tripe I have always wanted to build, a smaller version of the Rake that I never got to buy from AnythingRC, and another quick-to-build Zepron plane for hovering (not that I can do much of it).
As for the photo program, it's the home edition of Adobe Photo Deluxe. I don't really do much with it. I merely scan my analog photos (yes, I still only use film) into it. Why? Were my photos too big?

Hello Jun,
OK, you can build all the tractors you want. As long as they cotinue to be as original as the stuff you showed this time. That triplane is a real piece of work. I would love to see it fly.
Thanks for the tip in the program. It's not that you pictures are to big, mine are to small, and I would like to try and expand them.
Regards, Dave
