I am looking into buying an 1/8 scale buggybut having a hard time deciding. having fun with my savage and wondered how much more fun a buggy could be so what the hell, I have been looking into the ofna ultra lx pro or the kyosho inferno. I am on a budget of about 500 bucks so if you guys have any suggestions on good cars, let me know

well what are you gonna be doing with it mostly? bashing or racing? RTR or kit? I own a GS Storm and it is a great buggy. RTR and kit form with a Pro version its very reliable. also dynamite and Fioroni stock a full line of hop ups for it too. www.generalsilicones.com is the place to go to check it out. another good buggy that'll last bashing and racing is the OFNA Hyper 7. its pretty similar to the storm except for the front and rear brake bias that the storm has. the hyper has a pro version and tons of hop ups from all kinds of companies too. what i personally like about the RTR hyper are the bodies it comes with... great paintjob.... and the new hyper .21 8-port is supposed to be pretty good too.

while I would like to get into racing again, my job doesn't allow the freedom it would require. I try to drive a little agressive without damaging my car but that's usually the idea isn't it? it's no fun if it's broke d**k. anyway, I just like to tool aropund and hit some jumps and go fast I was just looking at the hyper 7 pro and that just might be my pick. thanks for the advice and keep it comin'

GS Storm is your best choice. Its a great car for all purposes including bashing and racing. Check out www.gsracing.com.tw for more pics.

Can't talk about the OFNA's but have got a Hot Bodies. Its 329 at Hobbytown for the RTR or the PRO. I got the pro because I wanted to go with a FM radio and better servos. It has been great fun. Easy to tune and I have yet to break anything except the wing which is junk. Once I put a kyosho wing on it has been smooth sailing. You are already into nitro so the lack of good directions won't be a problem for you. I would not recommend this thing to anyone who wasn't already running nitro. The directions are poor especially for the pro as they don't match it because they use the rtr instruction sheet and box with just new stickers. The buggy itself is very good though for the price. Hope that helps you out.

i have the lightning rr and i agree with gghost. the lightning also has the same engine your savage has, so you already know its reliable and how to tune it; cant beat that. i also have trashed the wing and other then that have had no problems. i run mine at the track and it turns some very respectable times, plus handles very well. i would def give it a good look.
