on my t-maxx 2.5 i was playing around with the radio with it and the reciever on....and i noticed that the third channel servo (shifting servo) was glitching.....it moves to it's normal settings, but then it giggles around a bit..........and i'm worried

i checked the batteries and they are still pretty good......

once i touched the transmitter antenna to a throttle linkage and the servos tweaked when it was touching........did i screw the radio?? everything now operates well except that shift servo......

shoot some wd40 arount the shift post and push the switch back and forth a couple of time also pull the atuna to full length. Every thing is fine it just does it some times and needs to be used a little.

does wd-40 hurt electronics? i've always wondered this and i want to know so i don't have to be extremly carful around that stuff with it.......

the radios are sealed in a nice box so you wont have to worry about it. Just make sure to use a straw that come with the wd40.

heres a fact about wd40 wd= water displacment 40= 40th time it took to get the right solution.

not sure if wd40 hurts the ridios should ask traxxas about that.

does anybody know if it will hurt the electronics? or if i should let it dry when i spray it on?

and what exactly CAUSES that kind of glitching.....it's like the metal to metal contact is doing it.....or maybe my transmitter sends it a funky signal

if you hold the reverse switdc right in the middle really carfully you can get the servo to center instead of going lock to lock........and maybe when i did that i screwed up the connection...........

As long as you don't have power going through your electronics wd-40 will NOT hurt them. Also there are many things that can cause a radio to glitch, it could be anything from being near power lines to metal to metal contact. check all the wires and make sure the housing on all of them is not torn or shredded. I doubt that you messed up your radio because the things you said you have done with it would not ruin it.

Could be a number of things. I found that the reason my car was glitching was due to the current limiter setting. Also, capacitors are needed to take away the interference. Finally, how about underground cables in your street? I know about two cases where a person was completely losing his car at a particular section of his road, then when he realized it was the cabling and moved location, he never expierienced another glitch.

Just my thought on the matter:D

we have underground power cabels running to our house instead of the overground suspended wires..........maybe that's it........next time i'm somewhere else i'll check.......thanx so much for mentioning that i forgot about interference.......

it could also be that my batteries were low........i've had them in there a while......and i don't know how long they last if you take your truck out about once a week every week.......that might be it.
