At 9 turns, the truck will have tons of RPM, and with the Dagger's limited gearing, I'm almost sure you won't be able to gear low enough to get acceptable power. With 9 turns you'll also go through brushes like J-Lo goes through husbands. For a truck, use something 17 turns or above.

I believe you need a reverse-rotation motor for one end of the Wild Dagger. If you do, get a machine-wound modified that you can adjust the timing on: Rotate the endbell 180 degrees and you're all set. Trinity, Orion, and Peak offer motors like that. Kyosho's Magnetic Mayhems are available in reverse rotation.

Go for a Trinity Speed Gems over 17 turns.

Your truck should be plenty fast with anything from a 17 turn to a stock motor. Don't forget that it's a truck, with big heavy tires that need lots of torque to get it going. A high top speed is no fun if it takes the truck forever to get there, and you give up less in top speed using a milder motor than you give up in acceleration, run time, and maintenance with a hotter motor.
