i have few questions i want to build a dragster and i'm looking for the fastest motor out there i have heard the less the turn # the faster ir its
so a 7 or 8 turn will it be faster bottom end top end or just faster over all .
also what is the difference the the single and double motors
whitch is faster

The fewer the # of turns, the more RPM but the less torque. For a dragster, low-turn motors aren't always the best: A lot of guys run motors in the mid teens to get a better launch, which means faster times.
Now if money is no object, you can get these expensive cobalt jobbers with huge comms and all that junk, but what's the point if A) You aren't racing, or B) Aren't racing in a class that allows them?
You could always try a brushless motor.

When using modified motors 7-17 turn, winds (single, double, triple, quad or 6wire). The selection is based on traction, battery used and vehicle. While most modified would produce closely the same speed, their power bands are different. Fewer turns/winds accerlerate quicker, use more energy and can overpower the vehicle when there is not sufficient traction. The more turns/winds causes the motor to accerlerate slower making driving more manageable on poor traction conditions and depending what turn/wind you use can be very efficient energy wise (use less battery energy). Try a 10 single, 9 double, or 8 triple no need to buy 3 different motors buy 1 motor and 3-4 different armatures.
For drag racing on a surface with excellent traction 8-11 double, if traction is not good use a triple or quad. Singles in the 7-9 turn will have too much on throttle rip that you may break the tires loose or call for you to ease on the throttle loosing time, thereby increasing your reaction time and ET. Although I haven't drag raced in a long time when I race oval mod, I'll take 3 to 4 motors and 4-5 armatures and try each until I get that fine balance of just being on the edge and try chassis adjustments to fine tune the handling if possible.

You should get a Puntam Propulsion motor. those fly!

RCAA had an article a few months back on exactly this topic. They took a pan car and I'm pretty sure it was a 12T or so, and added a 10 or 12 cell pack. Just make sure you have an ESC that will handle that many cells. I have an old 10L on the shelf that is going to wind up in the same way :D
