Ok,I am not planning on racing.I am just planning on tearing up the nearest asphalt...I want to know everyones opinions on what batteries and charger I should go for..I am probably going to go with 1-7 cell pack and a few 6 cell packs.I am not much for waiting more than 15 minutes to charge batteries.I would like to run my car for an hour or so at a time,non-stop..Lemme know what your suggestions are..Keeping in mind I am not racing,so I don't need "top-of-the-line" stuff..But I am sure I am gonna want a peak charger eh?

Dude get a *Dynamite Mega Peak charger for about 49.99.It has the option of a quick charge(about 15 mins) or normal(a few hours) The good thing is that the quick charge will not rob you of much run time.Maby a min at the MOST.Also get some High Quality
*SMC 6-cells that will make up for that min.(remember the more you spend on cells the better they will be).

Even for non racing purposes the cheapest still may not suit all of you needs battery pack will take anywhere from 25 minutes to 50minutes depending on the amperage rate that you charge at usually 4 to 5.50amps.
The less expensive AC/DC time chargers will take longer as most don't hold the charge rate throughout the complete charge $50 -$90 depending on features.
There are AC chargers with built in power supplies or DC that require a power source (12volt battery or power supply which is an added expense).
The different features it have will add to the cost: Number of Cell selection, Selectable amperage rate, MA rating(for type of cell), peak voltage cutoff selection, linear-pulse or power flex options, discharge function and other features.
There are too many chargers on the market to say just one may suit your needs but look under the manufacturers index and check out some: Astro Flight, Duratrax, Peak/Orion, Integy, Reedy, Novak, Kyosho, hobbico (Tower Hobbies) and others.
Batteries change a bit so you may want something that will give you a few years of use and not be obsolete when you get it home.
