Hello all.
I have been looking all over the place and cant find any info. on clubs in my area. I know that I am not the only person in this area that has a boat. If anybody else is out there please let me know because it will get really boring out on the lake by myself.

Checkout the IMPBA and NAMBA websites for club info in your area. You can usually access them by typing "R/C powerboat organizations" on your browser.

Hope this helps,
RickE

;) Radio Controlled Model Boaters of Baltimore uses the pond near Apple Ford in the Columbia area. Eric Thompson is a club officer. They sponsor two races a year at Greenbriar State Park in Hagerstown,MD. One race in the spring and one race in the fall. RCMB/B are members of the District 12 IMPBA. The other clubs in Dist. 12 usually have a 6 race series in the boating season. Anyone from the VA. club or others should be able to get any info you might need. I'm sorry I don't have Eric's phone number.

merctech,
im halfway a member of ODMBA, the club in Chesapeake [i haven't officially joined yet but i've attended the events so far and will fill out the paperwork on Sunday at the first race]
I can give you the president or secretary's email address if you'd like, i live in richmond and the drive is about 2 hours, well worth it for a full day's racing and advice from some of the best rc powerboaters in the world. where do you live?

Joe

I raced with a lot of the guys from ODMBA, good bunch and are very serious about there boats and racing. Ther are a few guys in the club that are world record holders. Although they are serious about there hobby they always seem to find time and don't mind helping fellow boaters, whether it's for sport or competition. I belong to the Radio Controlled Model Boaters of Baltimore. RCMB/B.

You should come out to GSP in early May for the first race of the season. May 3-4. Open water practice starts Friday, racing starts Sat. morning and lasts most of the day. Starts Sunday morning and lasts most of the day with trophy presentation at the end of the afternoon. A good time

I am interested! New boat in the mail and need to find someone to run with. I am in Southern MD and am willing to travel some. Just let me know where you are located and maybe we can get together.
