Hi Kevin
Do both of your boats have 1/8" prop shafts? If so this is easy. A Octura x430 would be a good on either of these boats. With sumerged drive you must be careful. It's way too easy to overload the motor . I have a very good running 20" mono with sumerged drive .I run a roar Stock motor for raceing at Batavia. Most of the time I use a Octura x427 sometimes a x430. anything bigger only heats the motor and slows the boat. I know you were also asking about motors to try in these boats. A good one for a modest speed increase is the Kyosho Magnetic Mayhem. $20 at Tower. Good power curve for lugging down in a sumerged drive boat. I have tried one on the previously mentioned boat.It not only went a little faster ,it also ran almost three min longer too. From 5 min to 8min runs. I use mostly 2400 mah batterys. n.h.schmidt
